The VoltaPower® Technology is a two step process.
Step one is the production of the semi finished belt - the three component belt parts: BASE, CORD and TOP. This process takes place at VOLTA 2000 facilities. The full range consists of 40 different types of components, which meet any of the world's industrial, conveyor and automotive V-belt section standards.

Step two is the assembly of these component parts into finished endless V-Belts. This step is done at the assembly center using the VoltaPower® System, at a location close to the distribution area.

The VoltaPower® System is an assembly system (and not manufacturing process), ideally suited for large and medium size importers and distributors that serve both industrial and automotive markets.

- Unique extrusion processes of the belt components (the semi finished belts):

  • Base and Top components, by the use of TP-Rubber raw materials (a unique blend of rubbers and polymers). And
  • Cord component, by the use of specially treated polyester cord and adhesives.
- Method of assembly these components into a finished endless belt using the Volta Power® System - two computer-controlled machines ALPHA and BETA, complementary each other.

 

ALPHA - VoltaPower® System V-100 series

The Alpha V-100 is designed to assemble the base component for all of the endless belt sections.

After the operator inputs the relevant information on the alpha user-friendly controller, (the belt section, length and the number of cycles - belts), and presses "enter", The Alpha:
  • Measures and cuts the required length and connects, by heat and pressure only, the two ends of the Base component to form an endless belt Base ring (allow to connect two rings at one cycle - for sections 9.5 mm-17 mm belts widths).

The process is controlled by a sophisticated programmable control system that ensures precision, quality and repeatability of the process. A single Alpha is capable of providing endless belt bases for the operation of two Beta machines.

8 atmospheres of air pressure; 3 phase 380 VAC electric power; 50 HZ; 16 Amps.

BETA - VoltaPower® System VDG-200 series

The Beta VDG-200 completes the assembly process of the endless belt.

After the operator transfers the endless belt Base ring from the Alpha, and inputs the relevant information on the Beta user-friendly controller, (the same belt section and length as on Alpha), installs the ring on the Beta and presses "enter", The Beta:

  • Assembles the Cord component on the endless belt base ring (symmetrical spiral winding two cords at a time), by heat and pressure only. Simultaneously,
  • The Top component is being imprinted with the technical specifications of the belt and relevant logo. Then,
  • Assembles the Top component on the cord component, by heat and pressure only, in order to cover and to protect the Cord.

The process is controlled by a sophisticated programmable control system that ensures precision, quality and repeatability of the process.

One operator is required for the operation of one Alpha and two Betas.
