We’re excited to announce the appointment of Iftach Yafe as the new CEO of Volta Belting.
With a global outlook, a passion for innovation, and a strong leadership record, Iftach joins Volta at a pivotal moment. In this exclusive interview, he shares his strategic vision, leadership philosophy, and what excites him most about the future of Volta.
What attracted you to Volta Belting?
I’ve always aspired to work alongside the best — in an environment that feels like home. Volta offers a rare combination of industry leadership and a strong family-oriented culture that empower every employee. I was also drawn to its bold strategic plans and the ambition to double in size over the coming years.
What is your vision for Volta over the next 5-10 years?
Our strategic plan outlines a clear vision: to double our global sales by 2030 and become a true “Best of Breed” company — the undisputed leader in homogeneous conveyor belts for the food industry.
How do you plan to drive growth in a competitive global marketplace?
Volta aims to be the go-to solution for homogeneous conveyor belts — for machine manufacturers (OEMs) and food processing plants worldwide. We are positioning ourselves as the partner of choice by staying focused, responsive, and value driven.
What role will innovation, efficiency, and sustainability play under your leadership?
Since its founding 60 years ago, Volta has been a pioneer — including the development of the Positive-Drive homogeneous belt solution. We plan to continue leading the market by delivering superior belt quality, supporting cleaner and reliable operations, and enhancing food safety.
Our belts significantly reduce contamination risks and cut down cleaning cycles and costly downtime — a real boost for our customers’ productivity and compliance.
How would you describe your leadership style and its impact on Volta’s global teams?
I strongly believe in teamwork and collaboration. One of my key goals is to build a unified, empowered global leadership team to drive our mission forward. Our greatest asset isn’t our factories, patents, or products — it’s our people. I’m committed to creating opportunities for every employee across the company to grow and thrive.
What values will guide your decision-making as CEO?
As part of our strategic planning, we’ve developed a core set of company values that guide all our internal and external interactions and decisions. These include personal touch and empowerment of our global teams, customer focus, teamwork and collaboration, integrity and fairness and delivering real added value in each and every one of our actions. I aim to lead by example, aligning all my decisions with these principles.
How will Volta continue to evolve to meet the needs of the food industry?
Customer-centricity is one of Volta’s core values. We actively listen to trends and regulatory developments in food safety, while gathering consistent feedback from equipment manufacturers, our distribution partners and food producers worldwide. These insights drive our ongoing innovation, ensuring we meet both current and future needs with tailored solutions.
What sets Volta apart in the belting industry — and how can this edge be strengthened?
Volta has been known for cutting-edge innovation capabilities since day one. We solve real-world challenges through advanced technology and creative thinking. Moving forward, we’ll continue investing in next-generation materials, state-of-the-art production technologies, and uncompromising product quality — securing our position at the forefront of the industry.
What message would you like to share with Volta’s partners, customers, and employees around the world?
At Volta, we deeply believe in long-term strategic partnerships with all our stakeholders — customers, employees, and industry allies. I am a true believer of the quote:
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together”
Let’s build the future of food-safe conveying >> together.
