Job Purpose

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales within a specific geographical region. The role builds relationships with potential customers, identifies new business opportunities, and maintains current client relationships. The Territory Sales Manager must effectively represent Volta Belting Technology and its products or services to the highest standards. This role requires excellent communication skills, high level understanding of the conveyor belting industry, and proven sales track record to reach or exceed the organization’s sales and overall goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Always start the workday prepared to be productive, knowledgeable, and engaging.
  2. Excellent customer service is expected from all employees. Make it a priority to be courteous, helpful, and prompt to our customers, visitors, guests, and teammates.
  3. Building relationships with our distribution partners by providing product and application expertise
  4. Providing technical support to OEM’s and end users
  5. Planning and developing product strategies
  6. Performing market research and analysis
  7. Mining for new customers
  8. Providing timely pricing and delivery information
  9. Communicating clearly with the Volta factories and distribution sites
  10. Regularly submitting management reports of sales activity and customer contact
  11. Work safe always. Follow all required safety guidelines. Practice awareness and prevention and follow all safety and incident reporting procedures.
  12. All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  1. BA/BS Degree required. Technical degree preferred.
  2. 5+ years’ successful industry sales experience servicing distributors, OEM’s, and end users.
  3. Must have experience in the conveyor belt industry or with similar industrial equipment serving the same markets.
  4. Well versed in belting technology and the belting industry. Contacts within the food processing industry is highly preferred.
  5. Strong understanding of mechanical systems.
  6. Exceptional interpersonal, creativity, and analytical skills.
  7. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner.

 

Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional office or remote home-based environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, mobile devices. This company also operates in a warehouse and fabrication facility environment. While performing the duties of this job, all employees should abide by all safety standards set forth by the location and utilize protective equipment if required.

This position requires travel up to 50%.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with aid. Specific abilities required by this job include hearing, hearing in loud environments, active listening, overall vision, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This position reports to the Director of Distribution Sales – USA. This position does not directly supervise any employees.

Dough Pump Conveyors

Dough pump conveyors are used to process raw dough in large-scale production bakeries.

Narrow Transfers
